Hey guys, I've lived with dogs all my life, and I've recently been learning about cats and their non-verbal communication. I've noticed that when a dog (especially a puppy) is excited to see you, he/se will piddle a bit, and lick you in the face enthusiastically. I've also noticed that when two cats meet for the first time, if they touch noses, they'll become good friends. If they don't however, they won't really like each other. Even in the animal kingdom, good first impressions are crucial. So here's my theory: as cats, dogs, and humans are all animals; and as cats, dogs, and humans get along well with each other by communicating across the species boundary; I suggest trying the following experiment: when you see a HB that you'd like to make an impression on, run up to her, give her an eskimo kiss while piddling on her shoe, then lick her in the face until she gives you a treat. Not only does this get you started with some good kino right from the get-go, but it should also set you far apart from all the other AFCs. Whenever approaching a HB, always ask yourself, "How many times has this approach been used on her tonight?" And remember: be confident, be slightly cocky, show your dominance as the alpha male, and don't forget to mark your territory.-Violin Guy
