AE Newbie     It makes sense, the way it's explained here, why clubs and bars aren't the best places to find girls. In clubs, it's almost like a feeding frenzy of cocks on any girl any bit attractive. Girls are getting bombarded by offers and most of the time they turn down anything that comes at them. I think, if you're only there to get girls, you'll be discouraged because you will have to have a lot of perseverance to stay up in situations like that. I've been going to clubs more, but I noticed that the more I'm turned down, the more discouraged I get and the less I approach girls. I think going to the club is a good lesson but it shouldn't be your only outing to get the ladies. It's a good lesson on confidence as well. You'll see that butt-ass-fugly guy dancing with the hotties only because he was able to go up to them as if his ego was bulletproof. I think the tip of going up to the girl and dancing with her as if it's your girlfriend or girl-friend is a great tip and works a lot better then doing the subtle sneak-behind-and-slowly-close-in-to-hopefully-be-in-grinding-range-so-you-can-eventually-bang-your-cock-into-her-thigh technique. The other thing I would suggest is to switch girls as quickly as possible since they may end up viewing you as the creepy guy trying to dry hump her all night. I've noticed that I haven't made as many approaches outside of clubs and bars as I should be. To be honest, I don't think I've made any real pickups outside of a club or bar setting which I just realized while writing this. I think it is probably more successful to make a pickup outside a club or bar settings, mostly because they don't have endless amounts of guys trying to hit on them as in clubs. The problem for me is the intimidation factor of approaching girls outside of the clubs. I think it's because when you're out "on the street" or walking through stores, people look as if they have a force-field of personal space that tells people to keep away. I can see how doing pickups in these situations would work better though since they don't have the fabricated club shield that they build when they go out. They don't expect the guy to have courage enough to approach them in normal day to day life. It all comes down to courage. For many introverted guys or nice guys, girls are placed on a pedestal which is bad because you put her in a place above you and you're intimidated by them in the end. I'm saying this, not as a PUA, but rather from a RAFC stance. I still lack the courage to do the approach but with practice, it's much easier. From the limited number of pickups I've done, I've found that it does get easier. Then again there are always those girls looking to get laid. Besides competing with the other guys in the club, its hard to demonstrate value, let alone yell over the music. I think bars are a more casual setting. I hang out at Gordon Biersch every Fri night and its a total chill atmosphere (Hawaii). Live band, two bars and plenty of room to hang out and spit game. Its ok so far for me. My problem is I am naturally arrogant, and in Hawaii arrogance is a no go. The people here are way chill and relaxed and apparenty my arrogance comes off as being an asshole. I thought I was bullet proof til I came here. Now the more I get shut down the more I begin questioning myself, which is kinda why I am here. My confidence is there for sure, but I think I might need to rethink some of my methods. Also I find bookstores a great place to meet someone. I am a nurse and I generally hang out in the medical section and pretend to be gainfully employed reading a nursing book. Sometimes an HB will cruise through looking for a nursing book for school which is great. I can go up and pretend to be looking for a similar book or give advice. [/quote] Seems like u contradicting ur self quite a bit here.  The bottom line is, girls do go out for attention and they will hook up with guys, etc.  A big part of the problem is matching.  Having the same number is very crucial.   I dont go out alone much, but my friends never really want to run game and occasionally act like doing so is silly.  Usually around 12:30-1ish i we get separated by accident (sincerely) and I usually run a little game then, besides this is the best time.  First, scan for girls by themselves.  If this goes nowhere look for groups of 2.  Once you find 2 HBs, - There is no PC way to say this - grab the nearest BLACK GUY . (This assumes ur hitting on white chicks)exchange names then immediately tell him u need a wingman.  He will smile, you just point...and he will normally not waste another moment.  If you try to snag a white guy, theres a 70% chance youll spend all your time trying to get this AFC to grow balls.  20% of the time there will be something wrong with them and youll wish u hadnt talked to the guy.  and 10% he is irish, which is the next best thing to a black guy, so he might be a good wing!  Foreign guys are also good if they are italian, mediteranian or hispanic.  This also removes the whitechick caveat Also, for dancing.  Look for a girl in a group with n girls and n-1 guys in it.  Being the nth guy is good odds.  If you dont see a group like this use the 2girls +1blackguy +self method mentioned above.  This works even better on the dance floor.   A third option is to use something like the story mentioned on here that used mirroring to hypnotize a girl in a trance/techno sort of club.  I dont do those clubs though.  Pick a girl out, and start dancing toward her but with your back to her.  As you get closer (within 20 meters) turn sideways and continue looking over the crowd but keeping an eye on her out of the corner of ur eye.  As u get within 5-15 meters (depending on how crowded the place is.  about 2-3 bodies away) start focusing on your girl (she should be the playful looking one of the group).   Once u make eye contact begin changing ur movement to mirror hers a little.  Try to keep eye contact and eventually let her notice u r mirroring her and when it makes sense start moving closer.  If she is giving u serious sexy business look then start moving for the grind, if she give u playful look start moving closer and dance as if ur letting her lead (sorry for the supp, but this is you rapport) until she is actually letting u lead.  After a song or so shell turn the steering wheel over to you and just go from there.  After a couple songs, kiss her on the cheek and move on.  If things r good, tell her ur just getting drinks, but cut back through the dance floor if you can and look for any good oppertunities to use the nHB vs n-1guys formula, or the 2HB+1BG+SELF formula.  If ur other girl catches u this  shows lets her know ur the man.  Again, do 1-2 songs then tell her ur going to get a drink. this time go to the bar and get a drink for yourself and go find ur original HB your mirrored with.  But on your way (and basically always) use the n:n-1 or the 2+1+1 formula  Its to easy not to use.
