Actually you see people wearing blouses all the time, it's just that, in North America, we've gotten used to calling them "Dress Shirts", but that's really just a slang term.
They still call them blouses in Europe, on women, or in the Military.
Ask any Marine the difference between a shirt and a blouse, he'll get your mind right double time quick-fast hooo-ah!

There's an easy test, you have to be comfortable in what you wear, that doesn't' mean dress like a slob, it means dress nicer more often.
if wearing khaki with a cuff and a crease, wear matte shoes and wear a golf shirt.
If wearing black or dark trousers, wear shined shoes and a blouse, but MAKE SURE it's pressed and starched. In this day and age, being sloppy doens't look baddass anymore, it looks Joe Average.
So tuck it in and look crisp, clean and sharp! And look like you do it every day, (easiest if you do do it every day)
Best to just get into the habit of ironing your clothes, and using spray on starch. Makes your clothes look new every day, and starch repels stains. Oil spots look craptastic.
