Here's a way to avoid the flameout.

Go to the main menu, find pickup guideread Maniac's no-nonsense guide for
beginners, go through the rest of his site, read "Info for newbies" on this
page, implement the stuff you read. As Zan used to say, "See you in three
weeks".

You won't find a line like "Can I touch your hair?" in any of the materials.
If you have already done the reading, do it again and internalize it and you
won't say silly things like that.
