!Mystery,

Many of the direct-style guys say the following repeatedly:
"it is a flow"; "dynamic process"; "you have to
feel it genuinely or it will not work"

So to compare your method (memorized openers / routines)
with what guys are doing, as you did below, it's more like:
MEMORIZED vs IMPROVISATIONAL.

Also to compare success in groups vs. success with singles,
many of these guys regularly post about the "melt away"
effect their vibe has on anyone who is with their target.

Does this melt-away effect not happen for you when you
run direct-style on a large group?

Back to the first impression again, your method of social
proof creates the impression without having to act
explicitly:
"that guy is a social, fun-loving, party guy" followed
by that phase shift to "he likes to be physical with me,
even though he could probably interact with the other
women here".

Whereas the direct-style guys seem to be going for
the pure impression: "this guy wants to be physical with
me" followed by immediate demonstration of personality.
Which is why direct guys say they "save time."

It is the communication age, after all.

toecutter: Beat that fear. Be a man. Beat your chest a little bit, because most
people are slave to their fears. You conquer yours. Most guys will conquer it
in context (like bungy jumping), but lets see those parachuting AFCs handling
walking into a club ALONE and SOBER and APPROACHING a girl they don't know. Or
worse ... a group of girls.
