Teasing has many meanings.
Basic meaning is, something that provokes an emotional
response.

Examples.

1. saying one thing, but meaning another (usually the
opposite).
- "you're a dork."
- "you're like a powerpuff girl."
- "These pole dancers are hot. Too bad you can't shake
it like that."
- "Nice shoes." (NaturalJ's "money" line :-)

2. Giving an acceptable or complimentary response, then
taking the response away.
- Go in for a kiss, then pull back. Thats a
BL tease. You can take her hands, then say, "Not yet" and
give them back.
- Give a compliment, then render the compliment
meaningless.

3. Making vague allusions or references to inconsequential
facts, as a way of making light humor with the target as
the subject of humor.
- "I bet you're fiesty. I can tell because of the pink
shoes."

Mystery-style negs are of the form:
"[compliment] [takeaway]"
or
"[positive comment] [neutralizing/negative comment]"

"Nice nails. Are they real?"
"Did you pick that dress out yourself? My sister wears
that too."
"Your jeans have holes in them. They suit you, though, I guess it's
fashionable."

Ross Jeffries even says something similar.
"You're beautiful. But we both know beauty is common."

Am I wrong here?

Do you still think negs are not "hard teasing" ?

With the playful aspect, most guys use smirky-grins
or bouncy BL or whatever, to lighten up the verbal part
of the tease. So the entire tease becomes lighter
(more playful).

in context (like bungy jumping), but lets see those parachuting AFCs handling
walking into a club ALONE and SOBER and APPROACHING a girl they don't know. Or
worse ... a group of girls.
