It's true that for success to happen you need elements from both. But the way
you train for this can be (and constantly is) separated here on this site.

When I read about methods like Mystery, RSD, SS (especially in their forms they
had when I came here over a year ago) I see a strong priority on practicing
outer game which will eventually lead to developing inner game, because doing
the right things becomes subconcious and also gives positive feedback that
feeds inner game.

Methods like Gunwitch, Badboy, and especially Razorjack focus on developing
inner game, which will eventually lead to good outer game because you then
subconciously do the right things out of the right mindset.

What Chance brought up in his "BASICS" post is about training inner game. It's
still training, so I don't see why it's a passive approach.

And for what it's worth, I was the same as Chance. For the first year of ASF I
was totally stuck in outer-game training without really having fixed my inner
game stuff. I was doing all the kinds of routines, openers, tricks found here
but never really got anywhere with them.

Only after a few emails with Razorjack which centered around adding my own
personality into the PU process did I see results.

And in that regard I wish Chance had written his BASICS post a year earlier -
because that is exactly what it says:
Don't focus on outer game to the point where you feel "less cool" because you
think you have to do all these routines/storys/gadgets to be worthy for a
woman.
