on the subject of why the scores on that site seem to be unexplainably
high. here's an announcement I found:

We have changed the way the score is calculated, based on user feedback
we've gotten about how much more meaningful the "percentile" ranking is.

The new ranking is basically the percentile ranking * 10, which is the
equivalent of saying "in a room of 10 people, a 10 is the hottest person
in the room, a 9 is the 2nd hottest, an 8 is the third hottest, etc..

the scores on other similar sites usually max out at 6.00, a much more
believeable average top score than the countless 9.9 scores on
amihotornot.com.

which is better, beats me, a few moments ago I didn't even know sites like
that existed. personally I would rather prefer to rate women as they come
within a physical reach. this way spotting a 9 or 10 can actually have a
consequence other than simply pressing the "next" button:)
