I do have respect for them, since it's behavior out of fear.

Some people fear rejection and create a fake self-image to take the punches and
this way be able to cope with rejection. And if it's a smart person, he models
this image on social proofed models like all the PU guru's.

I respect them because I know what they feel, and understand it. I don't think
fearful people are bad people. Because I know that somewhere inside them
there's a really solid character that hasn't been expressed because of an
expectation of rejection.

And for the community: if they are your fellow PUA's (and believe me, there
are) then why not help them get over their fears and create a safe environment
to say what they think?
