The easiest way to state your opinion with people that you don't really know is
to let them think that you're joking. Most jokes do have an element of truth to
them. So you're still communicating what you want to and keeping things moving.

If you ever get a chance to listen to the DYD interview with Greg (the guy that
clued David DeAngelo into cocky and funny) you can hear one example of how to
pull it off. Personally I was really surprised how laid back and understated
that he was. He didn't really make many big jokes or really funny comments, it
was more of just leaving it in question if he was serious or not.

Of course where most people are more comfortable in doing this is with their
friends. For example at work a couple weeks back one girl was talking about how
cute her supplicating boyfriend's acts were. A guy jumped in totally serious
talking about how he 'smelled what that guy was stepping in' and foretelling
what's going to happen. At the end she was still totally into it saying, oh
you're always kidding, right?
