OK, lets say you werent arguing about net traffic in general but rather forums
as you now say, your new argument brings up an interesting point you also
probably werent aware of either. You are right that there are less
*registered* members on this forum than there probably are on a DYD mailing
list. But its hard to say how many people actually read either, especially
because we have people that can read the forum just as guests (increasing our
numbers of reads) and there is no way to measure how many people ignore
newsletters (decreasing their numbers). Still, if there is one single
seduction mailing list out there that is bigger than the *registered* number of
guys on this forum, DYD is it. But I doubt honestly there is any other (I
could be wrong, but not by much). And, notice that DYD doesnt really ever post
in here directly. So your new argument is probably true in a practical sense,
but only for DYD at the present time.

Well, I cant really argue that in a literal sense, but its easily argued in a
*practical* sense. The "advertising" in this case means posting to a forum
(since we dont run direct advertising on the forum currently with banner ads,
etc. and few others do either). So its true in *theory* that you could go on a
investment forum or a fishing forum, make a post that talks about pick up
workshops, the James Method, seminars, whatever. 4 guys will get interested,
400 will be pissed because you are spamming their board. You try it a few more
times, and your login is revoked because you are spamming. Then you come back
to the seduction only forums.

Now if we are just talking about advertising anywhere else, like on Google etc.
then yes, all guys need that, but its still watered down compared to getting
guys who read a seduction forum. Buying google keywords is a distant second
best. And I think Jlaix did make that point already, RSD for expample does buy
a lot of advertising elsewhere, they arent dumb, they are good businessmen.

But I will disagree with him, you or anybody else who says there isnt some
positive impact to writing about your seduction related business on this board,
as long as its a good business that really does help guys, vs. the ones that
are clearly wacked methods that everyone attacks and that we usually wind up
banning. And I disagree with any minimalization of the impact of this board
because I sit behind the scenes with Form and know the facts that
understandibly the average reader cannot.

I believe it is a mix for those that do write here, ie. they understandibly
want better results for their business (read the "Selfish Gene" by Richard
Dawkins if you doubt this) and are also truly trying to help out the community
at the same time (Dawkins will say any altruism is still selfish, but Im not as
jaded). Also, they learn and get new ideas from reading and posting here, too.
This cant happen on a fishing forum.

Its a good balance of benefit vs. helping that sometimes slips out of balance
in one direction, but is usually brought back into balance by other posters
giving their counter opinion (as was the case very often in this particular
thread). In extreme cases moderation or our commentary is called for, but
usually natural balance exists and its all good.

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion about seduction...
