Let's say you're looking for guys to hang out with and pickup girls with. i.e.
you're looking for wingmen.

This is the cardinal rule: Everyone is concerned with what's in it for them.

Every guy wants to get high quality women. Good pickup_artists/">pickup artists will not want to
hang out with anyone who gets in the way of their goal. (Unless they're paid
for it.)

Most pickup-artists want to hang out with people who are pretty close to their
level, or better. Preferably way better.

If you're just starting out, there are experienced guys who will be cool and
hang out with you and teach you things. But you'd better get better really
fast, because their good will won't last forever.

You've got to think about how you're making the people you're with look in
public.
If you're doing things that look out of place in a club, it reflects badly on
your friends.

Dressing badly, being nervous and shy, being pessimistic, pulling out sheets of
paper with pickup notes in the middle of a club, those are all things you want
stay far, far away from.

Also, if you're going to hang out with a guy, you've got to get along with him
as a person. (i.e. rapport.) That goes without saying though.
