Right on, I can handle that.

To give you an idea of how I was before the workshop, I'd see an HB, I'd
freeze up, and I'd talk myself out of doing the approach. So basically, I'd
never meet any girls. If I went to a bar or a club, I'd sit in a booth and
drink or just stick with my friends. I know my SS stuff fairly well, but I'd
usually have to meet the girl through mutual friends or on-line, and the
quality of women I was seeing just wasn't that good.

I run a small SS lair in LA, and was invited to attend the workshop by
Papa, because some of the trainers knew me from the SS list and knew
what I was trying to do out here by organizing local bros in the
seduction community. I called up Mystery to get the details, and showed
up not really knowing what to expect. I had read things from his archive
in the past, and knew of his technique through the players guide, but
had no real experience with it.

I had also never heard of TD, Papa, or Style before the workshop, so they
were just other guys to me.

Like I said before, the first night, we were THROWN into the fire. We
went to the clubs right away, and armed with a few generic openers the
trainers had given us, they began pointing us to groups and telling us to
approach. I was scared shitless, and when TD saw I was having a hard
time, he'd approach and signal for me to jump in after he opened the
set. At that point, most of what I did was observe what he did and watch
how the girls responded. I saw him get a toungdown from a girl in
under a minute, and I also saw him play girls off each other so they were
competing for him. I'd often team up with the other students to try and
run interference on AMOGs and play wingman for two-sets, but I did
nothing really special the first night, and no openers, though I did get an
idea of how the Mystery Method worked in the field.

The next night, I went out with Mystery and Style. The nervousness
continued, and it was turning out to be a repeat of the first night until
Style teamed up with me. He made me approach a 3 set, 2 guys and 1
girl, with the opener "Who do you think lies more, men or women?" To
my surprise, the group was really receptive, and the girl grabbed me and
started talking my ear off. I quickly ejected after they answered my
question, and went back to Style, who made me approach another 2-set,
a woman and a man, with the same opener. Again, to my surprise, they
were very receptive and friendly. Basically, at this point, my previous
belief-systems were getting blown out because I was actually engaging
people and not getting rejected at all.

After that one, I picked the next set, a 4-set with 2 guys and 2 girls, and
used the same opener. This set had a bit of a cooler response, but the
girls really seemed to find the question interesting.

Style then debriefed me on what I was doing right, and what I was doing
wrong -- things to be aware of when looking for IoIs, body language,
where to take things after the opener, etc. But by the time I finished
talking to the 3rd group, I was feeling really good and getting an idea of
how easy and fun approaches could be. We went to another club and I
did my final approach for the night. I just did approaches, nothing too
complicated, but I walked away with a new sense of confidence.

The final night, I did a lot more approaches, as well as getting to
observe Mystery and all the others. At this point, I was making up my
own openers, and adding in false time constraints, and asking how the
groups knew each other so I could gain information on their social set-
up. I was also conscious of my body language (thanks to TD) and was
sure to always smile (something Mystery hammered into me). The
atmosphere was really intimidating, but I had a good time. In many
instances, the girls would pull me aside and continue talking to me,
which was a mind blower, especially because they'd initiate kino,
something that's never happened before in my lifetime.

I didn't get laid out of the workshop, but I did get a framework on how
to use tools from my seduction arsenal in a new way and experience in
the field with a strong support group, something I'd never really had
before. All the trainers were very patient and understanding. Often
times, they'd even forego lay opportunities for the sake of
demonstrating something to the students, which I thought was very
cool.

Since the workshop, I've had many pleasant experiences going out and
approaching women, and its getting easier the more I do it. And I
wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't for my experiences at the workshop. Not
only that, but I made some great new friends from the experience, which
is worth its weight in gold.

So there you go. I hope that's more to your liking. =)

Sarge on,

Thundercat
